Iber Cup 2013
The beautiful community of Estoril in Portugal hosted the IBERCUP 2012. The IberCup is an international age grade tournament for aspiring young male footballers, youth clubs, and academies of established clubs for players between the ages of 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, and 17 for girls.

IberCup is a rallying point for clubs, coaches, agents, scouts, and team managers of clubs from Europe and the rest of the world to engage in profitable networking. One interesting week of soccer festival where young boys and girls express nature's gift to the admiration of the crowd, and you never know who is watching.

Serahana Events & Sports Management Ltd, a leading international sports management company with global network has in the past successfully coordinated youth soccer tournaments in Europe. We also promote and represent some of the best international youth soccer tournaments in the European continent.

IberCup 2012 saw Serahana Events & Sports presenting Zambia and Nigeria in the U-16 male category of this international youth soccer tournament in Estoril Portugal. COD United football club represented Nigeria and got to the second round while the Lusaka Youth Soccer Academy of Zambia got to the finals making history for Zambia, the academy itself, and for Serahana Events & Sports.

Serahana Events & Sports held a conference meeting of opportunity and encouragement with our partners who happen to be scouts of elite Portuguese clubs like Sporting Lisbon etc and the two African clubs that we presented in the IberCup.

The Nigerians lost after a hard fought game in the 2nd round by penalty shoot-out to Villa Maria of Argentina, while the Zambians lost gallantly in the finals to Chivas Guadalajara of Mexico 1-0; but were the toast of the tournament in this category. They left an indelible mark and made an impact that will always be joyfully remembered.

Our tournament in Portugal is very huge; it is the only youth soccer tournament in Europe that features the elite European and South American clubs in their true image and identity. This is obviously the kind of tournament African youths both male and female require to develop their skills again, gather the confidence and experience required to revive our lost glory in soccer in all facet from the bottom to the top.

Serahana Events & Sports are saying a big thank you to COD United FC Nigeria and the Lusaka Youth Soccer Academy Zambia for choosing our tournament in 2012.

Finally, the IBERCUP is a veritable launching ground; and an opportunity for African youth soccer talents to eventually ply their trade in Europe. The Zambians have proved it to be true.

Registration for IBERCUP 2013 officially begins from the first (1) September 2012, but is open to interested clubs/academies who wish to register now.

We want to use this opportunity to say a big thank you to our mother in Portugal; the honourable madam ambassador Ijeoma Bristol, and the entire Nigeria embassy personnel for the warm reception accorded to us all. We thank you madam for making us proud in a foreign land, for the dinner, and most of all; for your presence at the stadium to cheer us. Above all, we thank God for everything.
